Wayne “Bill” Oldham, 83, of Neillsville, WI, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026, at the House of the Dove in Marshfield, WI.
Wayne Dale Oldham was born April 3, 1942, in Neillsville, WI, the son of Charles and Margaret (Dormandy) Oldham. Bill attended school in Neillsville and then worked for Carlson Lumber in Augusta, WI. He also worked for Alfred Boon Construction, operating heavy equipment before entering a 42-year career with the city of Neillsville in 1964. He was united in marriage to Lucille “Sis” Gurney Dec. 3, 1960. Bill retired from the city of Neillsville in December of 2005, and Lucille died in January of 2006.
Bill was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his four children, Sandy (Dave) Ewers of Lime Ridge, WI, Pam Hass of Neillsville, WI, Kevin (Denet) Oldham of Greenwood, WI, and Sue (Tom) Bielefeld of Hixton, WI; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; his good friend, Diane Buettner of Neillsville, WI; siblings Betty Ott of Ripon, WI, June (Jack) Kluckhohn, Bonnie Mitte, Ronald “Dusty” (Lois) Oldham, Frank (Charlotte) Oldham and Kenny (Nancy) Oldham, all of Neillsville, WI, Donna Siltala of Marshfield and Donald “Chester” (Brenda) Oldham of Granton, WI.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille; his parents; a granddaughter, Kinsley Heck; a grandson, Adam Oldham; Pam’s life partner Kenneth Hackel; four brothers, Gordon, Walter “Bunny,” Marvin and Dick; sister Amanda Wampole; two brothers-in-law, Edgar Ott, and Bill Mitte; along with other family members and many friends.
Funeral services for Bill will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. Pastor Timothy Biebert will officiate. Music will be provided by Judy Trunkel, organist. Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Gesche Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
