ROLF R. DEROUIN

It is with heavy hearts, the family of Rolf R. DeRouin, 81, of Willard, announces that Rolf passed away Sept. 24, 2026, at the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield with his family by his side.

      Rolf was born May 12, 1945, in Germany, the son of Elisa Reisert. Rolf came to the USA from Germany when he was 12 years old. He worked hard to learn English and get his citizenship. Rolf met his wife, Marcia Lorenz, when they were in high school and married after. Rolf and Marcia had 4 children. They ran the Hotel Royal in Stanley, where they had so many good times with family and friends. They moved to Minnesota in 1988 where Rolf worked as an IronWorker building bridges. Rolf and Marcia retired at Rock Dam, WI, where they made more memories with so many friends and all their family. Rolf enjoyed golf, bowling, hunting, fishing, softball, travel, and many more activities throughout his life.

   Rolf is survived by two sons, Pete and Paul (Patty) DeRouin both of Chippewa Falls; two daughters, Lisa Sorenson of Stanley and Dawn (Jeff) Nicolai of Chippewa Falls; brother-in-law, Billy (Kelly Green) Lorenz of Athens; sister-in-law, Jayne Schifsky of Minneapolis, MN; and 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Rolf was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marcia; sister-in-law, Sue (Mike) Taylor; brother-in-law, Kevin Lorenz; and sister-in-law, Carol Bebermier, all of whom he made great memories with.

A Celebration of Life for Rolf will be held at the Rod and Gun Club in Rock Dam on October 17th from Noon to 4 p.m. Please come share and listen to stories and celebrate the amazing life Rolf lived.
