MICHAEL J. TRUE

MICHAEL J. TRUE
Michael J. True, 69, of Neillsville passed away Thursday June 29, 2023, at University Hospital in Madison.
Michael was born on Dec. 3, 1953, as the son of the late Jack and Mildred (Erickson) True. He graduated from Clintonville High School in 1972 and went on to earn a degree in economics from Ripon College. Michael then began his own construction company, True Construction, out of the Milwaukee and Oconomoc area. After 35 years in construction, Michael retired and moved to his current home in Neillsville where he enjoyed helping his cousin, Roger Erickson at Four Star Dairy. He was a member of the Loyal Mini Rod Club and had just started to get into pulling with his own mini rod. Michael had high hopes he was going to beat his cousin, Ernie Erickson, and become the champ. Michael was a Packer fan and he also was an avid hunter; accomplishing one of his lifelong hunting goals by tagging his first elk last fall. He enjoyed hunting whitetails and ducks around home and taking trips out west each year when possible. He will certainly be missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his sons, Kyle and Cory True; sister Barb (Steve) Balke; brother Rod (Patty) True; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service was held for Michael Thursday July 6, 2023, starting at 10 a..m at Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville with Rev. Diana Ziegler officiating. Friends called at the cemetery just prior to the service.
The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting his family. www.eberhardtstevenson.com.
