MARY L. (INGOLD) NAEDLER

Mary L. (Ingold) Naedler, 89, of Granton passed away peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025, at The Wells Nature View in Marshfield. Mary was born Jan. 9, 1936, in Peoria, IL, to Roger and Hermina (Essig) Ingold. Mary moved with her family in 1948 to a farm in Neillsville. She attended Neillsville schools. On June 20, 1953, she married Marvin Naedler of Granton. Together, they farmed, working side by side and raised four children. Marvin and Mary celebrated 62 years of marriage together before Marvin passed away in 2015. Mary was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed gardening, baking, playing pinochle, doing needlepoint and fishing at their cabin in Northern Wisconsin. Marvin and Mary also spent many beautiful winters in Mesa, AZ. They enjoyed playing cards with their friends and playing various sports at the clubhouse. Mary was very proud of her children and grandchildren and loved spending time with them.  Mary was a member of the New York Homemakers for over 30 years and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Granton.

Mary is survived by her four children, Larry (Patti) Naedler and Rodney (Janeen) Naedler of Granton, Nancy (Dave) Bauman of Little Canada, MN, and Joyce (Chris) Deedon of Lodi; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren, with another on the way; three sisters-in-law, MaryAnn Ingold of Neillsville, Patricia Naedler of Granton and Cheryl Naedler of Henderson, NV; and a dear friend, Bev Lavey of Marshfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin; a sister in infancy, Shirley; her brother, Roger Ingold, Jr.; sister-in-law Irene Nanstad-Engen; and brother-in-law William Naedler Jr.

The family would like to thank Pastor Daniel Schoessow of Granton, the amazing staff at the Wells Nature View of Marshfield and the staff at Compassus Hospice Care. Words cannot express our thanks for the wonderful and compassionate care provided to Mary.

A private family gathering will be held after church services Sept. 14 at Zion Lutheran Church.

Donations may be sent to Zion Lutheran Church of Granton.
