Lyndell had many interests, but especially enjoyed phone calls and correspondence from family, reading, daily walks, cars and racing, especially the Indianapolis 500, traveling in his younger years where he went by ship and visited Sweden and Denmark, and he closely followed football games. Lyndell had many friends at Monarch Manor in Denver, and was known as “Captain.”

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Larry and Lon Blaney.
