     Kathleen “Kathy” Wells, 79, of Neillsville, WI passed away Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025 at her home.

     She was born Aug. 10, 1946, in Burlington, WI. Kathy was united in marriage to Gordon Wells Dec. 29, 1978.

     Kathy worked for Hansen’s IGA in Neillsville until she retired. She loved to take care of family and friends. She also enjoyed taking care of her dog, Bug. In past years, she was an avid bowler and loved to travel to different tournaments with her friends.

     Kathy is survived by three stepchildren, Russell (Donna) Wells of Huntley, IL; Peggie (John) Campbell of Huntley, IL, and Tina (Jeff) Pflum of McHenry, IL; grandchildren Abbi (Larry) Hanson and Amber (Russell) Matthes; great-grandchildren Haylee, Lukas and Jayce Hanson, Jacob and Lylah Fox, Brendan, Kash and Benjamen Matthes; sister-in-law Joan Flint; brother William “Billy” Bender; and many nieces and nephews.

     Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Francis (Fleming) Bender; her husband, Gordon; sister and brother-in-law, Rosie and LeRoy Mather; and sister Sally Kuchenbach.

     A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
