George Andrew Mohr

George Andrew Mohr, 84 of Eau Claire, WI, and Neillsville, WI, passed away Monday, July 20, 2026. George was born July 8, 1942, in Neillsville, WI; he was the youngest son of Fred and Blanche (Begley) Mohr.  He grew up and attended school in Neillsville. Following high school, George enlisted in the U.S. Army.  After the military he worked in commercial construction.

He was united in marriage to Sally M. Freid and was married for 65 years.

He is survived in death by his wife, Sally Mohr of Eau Claire; daughter Heather (Chris) Wagner of Eau Claire and their children Serena and Destyn and great-granddaughter Isla; and son Shane Mohr of Eau Claire and his children Mason and Lincoln.

George was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Donald and Harold; sisters Ruby Ambelang, Dorothy Waller and Beatrice “Beats” Quelle, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

George was a humble, kind guy who would give you the shirt off his back. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at Hemorrhoid Hollow. His other favorite pastime was gambling, his grandchildren and great-grandchild.

A celebration of life will be held at a date, to be determined, in Neillsville, WI. All are welcome.
