Jeanne Genevieve (Lingerfelt) Erickson, 85, passed away peacefully Jan. 27, 2026, in Neillsville, WI.

Born Nov. 9, 1940, in Chippewa Falls, WI, Jeanne lived a life marked by creativity, compassion and dedication to her community. Her love for the written word was evident throughout her life. An avid reader and writer, she shared her voice with the community through her contributions to the Hatfield Chatter Community column. She was active in her community with the Red Hats and the Homemakers.

Jeanne also had a deep affection for animals. She devoted countless hours volunteering at the local animal shelter, offering care and comfort to animals in need.

She was married to Wendell Knickrehm until his passing and later found love again with Milton Erickson. Jeanne and Milton shared 41 years of marriage.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Milton Erickson; her son, Mark Knickrehm (Katie); her stepdaughter, Lynne Parent (Jimmy); her daughter-in-law, Dia Baker; and her cherished grandchildren, Brittny, Colton, Tyler, Tommy, Alex, PJ, Libby, Josh and Rocco.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her first husband, Wendell Knickrehm, and her son, Brian Knickrehm.

A celebration of life will be held later this year.
