DIANA “DEE” STEUBER

     Diana “Dee” Steuber, 83, of Neillsville, WI, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023.

     Diana Irene Florence Leu was born June 17, 1940, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Walter and Viola (Zastrow) Leu. She graduated in the February class of 1959 from Rufus King High School and then attended Beauty School for a year. On May 6, 1961, she was united in marriage to Robert Steuber in Milwaukee. She worked as a beautician for two years until her first child was born, and then she stayed home to raise her family. Dee was a devoted mom and volunteered at her children’s school and was on the PTA. In 1995, Bob retired and they moved to Neillsville where they have had property since 1968. Dee continued to do volunteer work and was a member of the Red Hat Society and a Birthday Club, serving as treasurer for both.

     Dee is survived by her husband, Bob; four children, Michael (Konnie) Steuber of Westheimer, Germany, Joanna (Jim Hunter) Steuber of Hartland, Carla (Craig) Buske of Waukesha and Valerie (Marty) Gerboth of Milwaukee; six grandchildren, Sasha (Carmen), Nico (Ania), Seth (Ashley), Hannah, Courtney and Tyler; and three great-grandchildren, Laura, Quinn and Nora. She is also survived by a brother, Robert (Jan) Leu of Madison, brother-in-law Ken (Sue) Steuber and sisters-in-law Pat Koltermann, Deb (Tom) Varish and Terry (Gerry) Kenyon and many nephews and nieces.

     She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.

     A visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 11, from 12 to 4 p.m. at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville.
