Dennis Dale Dux was born July 18, 1950, in Marshfield, WI, to Erwin H. and Martha E. (Noeldner) Dux. He was raised on the family farm and received his education in Loyal, graduating from Loyal High School in 1968. After high school, he worked on the farm with his father until entering the U.S. Army Oct. 22, 1970. Den served during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge May 8, 1972, earning a Bronze Star. He later moved to Madison, WI, where he worked for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation until his retirement. He returned to Loyal in 1994 and lived there year-round until his mother’s passing. Shortly after, he moved to a home he purchased in Fountain City, WI, where he spent the summer months and spent his winters at his home in Arkansas.

He had many interests, but especially loved riding motorcycle, skiing, watching Nascar, Badger and Packer football, bird-watching, collecting and buying and selling just about anything. His attention to detail, record-keeping, maintenance and care were second to none. He loved tinkering and was able to fix just about anything.

Dennis is survived by two sisters, Marjorie (Richard) Rohde of Greenwood, WI, and Sharon (Darrel) Counard of Richfield, WI; one brother, Robert (Sue) Dux of Weston, WI; his loving partner, Becky Pearson of Knoxville, AR; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
