BRENDA J. SCHLINSOG

 BRENDA J. SCHLINSOG

Brenda Jean Schlinsog, 61, of Granton passed away peacefully at her home Monday, April 28, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. After a brave and courageous battle with breast cancer, Miss Brenda gained her wings and made her way to heaven.

She was born Aug. 20, 1963, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Gerald and Ruth Ann (Meyer) Petzke. Brenda graduated from Webb High School of Reedsburg in 1982 and later attended Western Technical College in La Crosse, where she studied fashion merchandising.

On May 5, 1984, Brenda was united in marriage to Brian Gilman. Though they later divorced, together they were blessed with three beautiful daughters. Brenda worked many years as a dental assistant and held various jobs throughout her life. Among her favorites were serving as a CNA in Park Falls and as a dental assistant in Tomah, where she brought compassion, dedication and a strong work ethic to every role. She was also an active member of the United Methodist Church in Tomah and a constant source of support and love for her daughters’ activities.

In 2004, Brenda and her family moved to Reedsburg, WI. There, she worked at Seats INC. alongside her mother. It was there that she met Dustin Schlinsog who would later become her husband. They were married Sept. 17, 2005, at their home in Granton, WI, where they began a new chapter together—farming and later opening Turnpike Greenhouse.

Brenda poured her heart into the greenhouse business and took great pride in building the Turnpike Greenhouse floral shop. Her unique eye for design and love for flowers shone through in every arrangement she created and often showcased her personal style.

While running the farm with her husband, Brenda also worked at Culver’s of Marshfield, where she proudly shared her favorite saying, “Welcome to Delicious,” for nearly 10 years. Despite her busy schedule, she remained deeply involved in her daughters’ lives, especially cheering Braquel on at her sporting events and participating in the county fair. Brenda was also an active member of York Center Methodist Church and deeply loved her church family.

Brenda was preceded in death by her infant sister, Debbie Ann; her mother, Ruth Ann (Meyer) Petzke; her grandson, Caidyn John; and her father-in-law, Stevyn Schlinsog.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dustin Schlinsog of Granton; her father, Gerald Petzke of Reedsburg; her three beloved daughters, Breanne (Josh) Koski of Blaine, MN, Brittany (Nick) Gilman of Marshfield, WI, and Braquel (Dylan) Much of Greenwood, WI. She is also survived by her cherished grandsons, Walker, Whitten and Ashtyn; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

For those who knew Brenda, she will be remembered as a kind, loving and generous soul who always put others before herself. Her strength, warmth and spirit touched the lives of many.
