COLLEEN A. TESSMAN

     Colleen Tessman, 78, of Neillsville, WI, died Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at her residence following a short illness.

     Colleen Ann Russell was born at St. Anthony’s Hospital Dec. 22, 1946, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Harold and Marjorie (Harnish) Russell. She graduated from Boylan Central Catholic High School, and was united in marriage to Larry Tessman Aug. 17, 1968, in Belvedere, IL. She graduated from the Rockford School of Practical Nursing in 1978 and worked at the Neillsville Care and Rehabilitation Center until her retirement in 2007. Larry died March 13, 2024.

     In her spare time, Colleen enjoyed playing the organ and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

     She is survived by her son, Todd Tessman of Neillsville; three grandchildren, Jamie, Jeremy and Lotis Tessman; and two sisters, Rogene Backus and Cathy Johnson.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; a son, Jeffrey; and her parents, Harold and Marjorie Russell.

     A private family service will be held at a later date.
