STANLEY A. “TIMER” RIEDEL

     Stanley Riedel, 74, of Granton, WI, died Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI.

     Stanley Allen Riedel was born Nov. 21, 1950, in Neillsville, WI, the son of Paul and Lorna (Lindow) Riedel. Stanley spent his entire life on the family farm, working with his father, and eventually taking over the farm himself. He milked cows for 50 years. His cows were his pets, and when he realized he could no longer milk, he had a hard time parting way with them. 

     He loved his dogs, Buddy and Lady, and enjoyed 4-wheeling, riding bike and hay rides. 

     He is survived by his brother, Amos “Posty” of Granton, WI; his sister, Karen “Susy’ Reed of Boscobel, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles; an infant brother, Gary; and a brother-in-law, Duane.

     Funeral services for Stanley will be held at 2 p.m.  Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Granton. Pastor Daniel Schoessow will officiate. Music will be provided by Caroline Helm, organist. Interment will be in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, July 18, at the church.

     Pallbearers are Darrell Beilke, Rick Beilke, Jim Beilke, Jerry Sternitzky, Bob Reed and Russell Draeger.
