BEVERLY JEAN POTTS

BEVERLY JEAN POTTS

“To live in hearts, we leave behind is not to die.”

Thomas Campbell

It is with great sadness that the children of Beverly Jean Potts announce her passing March 5, 2025, to walk with Jesus.

Beverly was born in Storm Lake, IA, July 31, 1935. She married Burton Potts in 1953. They moved to Rte. 1, Greenwood, WI, in 1958, where she resided until 1980. Beverly then lived in Sioux Falls, SD, and several other cities through the years, finally settling back in Sioux Falls.

In 1964, she went to school to become a computer operator and worked with computers until 2013 when she retired at the age of 78.

Bev loved to bowl, golf, read, watch movies, travel and go camping and fishing. But, most of all, she loved spending time with her five children.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister, as well as her son, Rex Allen Potts, and her son-in-law, George Hart.

Beverly is survived by a nephew, Randy Miller, in Abilene, TX, and her remaining children, Paula (Al) Parrish in Sioux Falls, SD, Raymond (Sheree) Potts in Neillsville, WI, Peggy Hart in Sparta, WI, and Troy Potts in Sioux Falls, SD. Bev also had many “dear to her” grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved spending time with.

A private celebration of life will be held in the summer in Wisconsin on the land she loved.

“In our hearts, you will always stay; loved and remembered every day. Your legacy lives on in the love and values you instilled in us.” Thank you, Mom.
