DANNY KEVIN KESSLER
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Danny Kevin Kessler, who died Jan. 15, 2025, at the age of 65. Danny was born Aug. 9, 1959, in Neillsville, WI, to Leo “Lefty” Kessler and Marjorie “Margie” Kessler.
Throughout his life, Danny was known for the way he lit up a room with his kindness, sense of humor and storytelling. He was a devoted father to Marcet Eustice (Aaron Eustice) and Mitch Kessler (Statia Swenson); a playful grandfather to Griffin and Adesa Eustice; a brother to his cherished sister, Pamela Russell (Michael Russell); a brother to Randy Kessler (Mary Kessler); and a friend to many.
He had a love for Brewers baseball and collecting things, whether it be Matchbox Cars, bar chips/tokens, beer signs, Kessler memorabilia, $2 bills or other vintage items.
In addition to his family, Danny had a fulfilling career, with most of his time spent in various roles at Springs Window Fashions in Middleton, WI, (1989 through 2008). Prior to Springs, he worked at the Clark County Courthouse (1983-1989) and was a bartender at the Green Lantern in Neillsville, WI. He began early retirement in 2008.
Outside of work and time with family, he enjoyed finding hidden gems at secondhand stores and eBay, watching sports at Adler’s Pub (Madison, WI), and spent countless hours volunteering with the Salvation Army, achieving golden bell ringer status on multiple occasions.
A celebration of his life will be planned for springtime, and details will be shared at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Salvation Army, American Diabetes Association or Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The family would like to thank Jane Tock for the invaluable gift of many extra years which were given to us, due to her kidney donation over 21 years ago. Also, sincere gratitude to Wendy Vysoky (mother of his children) and the many caregivers, doctors or people who were particularly supportive over the years and throughout his final days.
Danny will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to call him family and friend.
