     Keith A. Wesenberg, 59, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024, at the House of the Dove in Marshfield, WI.

     Keith Arnold Wesenberg was born Nov. 19, 1964, to Marlene (Rollins) and Arnold “Doc” Wesenberg. Keith graduated from Granton High School in 1983. After graduation, Keith moved to his Grandma Vera’s farm where he helped with chores. Keith also held various other jobs, including Short’s Fur Farm, the cheese factory in Chili, Doc’s Diner, Leeson Electric, Walmart and delivering the Marshfield News Herald.

     Keith loved all sports. He is well known for his umpiring-skills. Better known as “Bear,” his strike calls were always heard loud and clear. Bear also loved to play cards of any sort. Cribbage and sheepshead were his favorites, and he was not above winning big and taking his opponents’ money. Anyone who knew Bear knew his singing voice. He could belt out song lyrics for any occasion. Keith’s laughter, stories and jokes will be missed by everyone who knew him.

     Keith is survived by his sisters, Sandy (Bo) Hanuszczak, Tammy (Keith) Loberg, Cindy Mualuko and Suzanne (Rodney) Roehl; stepmother Carolyn Wesenberg; nine nieces and nephews, Jesse (Megan) Hanuzczak, Kristen Gorst, Korey (Brandon Chrouser) Hanuszczak, Darrin and Dayne Loberg, Mwende, Mutisya and Daniel Mualuko and Ryan (Brittany) Roehl; 13 great- nieces and nephews, many aunts and uncles and his caregiver of the past few years, Melony Paulson.

     He is preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Marlene Wesenberg; grandparents Fred and Vera Wesenberg; and Robert and Ann Rollins.

     Visitation was held from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 20, 2024, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. A private family service was held Monday, Oct. 21, 2024. Interment was in Windfall Cemetery in Granton. Pastor Bob Garbisch officiated.

     Serving as casket-bearers are Jesse Hanuszczak, Darrin Loberg, Dayne Loberg, Brandon Chouser, Ryan Roehl and Steve Rollins.

     In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The House of the Dove, 1000 W 11th St., Marshfield, WI, 54449.

     A special “thank you” to the very caring staff at the House of the Dove and Northshore Care and Rehab.
