CHARLES “CHARLIE” D. RIEDEL

     Charles “Charlie” D. Riedel, 85, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. 

     He was born Sept. 1, 1939, the son of Paul and Lois Riedel. He worked for Pittsville Homes until his retirement. He loved going and talking to old friends and talking about how they were doing. He enjoyed driving his Model T cars in the parades and the Cranberry Fest for many years. He volunteered in the fire department in Granton, WI, for many years. He also cooked chicken for the Fall Festival for many years. 

     Charlie is survived by his daughters, Debi Donovan, Lois (Scott) Paepke and Julie (John) Shockley; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; longtime girlfriend Joyce Steinbach; stepsister Suzy Riedel; stepbrothers Amos and Stanley Riedel; and many more friends and family.

     A service will be held Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, at Zion Lutheran Church, W2894 Granton Road, Granton, WI, 54436 at 11 a.m. Visitation starts at 10 a.m. There will be a luncheon to follow the service.
