EARL DAYTON

     Earl A. Dayton, 92, of Neillsville, WI, died Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at the Marshfield Medical Center-Marshfield.

     Earl Dayton was born Jan. 11, 1931, in La Crosse, WI, to Howard and Winnifred (Schumacker) Dayton. He graduated high school in Melrose, WI. He married Marlene Aldinger July 2, 1955, in Neillsville, WI, at the United Methodist Church. Earl and Marlene had four boys, Rick (Rita), Jeff, Mark (Jackie) and Dennis (Lisa) Dayton; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

     He worked for Urbans in Neillsville for 34 years before retiring. He retired from the National Guards with 23 years in. 

     He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Winnifred (Schumacker) Dayton; his brothers, Darryl and Donald; sister Ruby Frost; daughter-in-law Colleen; sisters-in-law, Dorothy, Doris and Lila; and brother-in-law Carl Zank and Ralph Frost.

     He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marlene; sons Rick (Rita), Jeff, Mark (Jackie) and Dennis (Lisa) Dayton; 16 grandchildren; 11great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sisters Patty (Roger) Mallory and Donna Zank; brother Robert, sister-in-law Sylvia Dayton and many nieces and nephews.

     No funeral is planned at this time. He is to be buried in Neillsville City Cemetery.
