Patricia Bogdonovich

     Patricia A. “Pat” Bogdonovich, 75, of Greenwood passed away at her home Monday, May 9, 2022. 

     Patricia Ann Bushman was born Sept. 5, 1946, in Marshfield to Aloysius N. and Dorothy V. (Stowe) Bushman. She was raised on the family farm and received her elementary education at St. Mary’s Catholic School and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1964. Pat then attended Taylor County Teachers College in Medford for two years, earning her teaching certificate.  She was united in marriage to Dennis “Pete” Bogdonovich June 10, 1967, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood. Pat taught at St. Mary’s Catholic School for three years until they bought the bowling alley, Blue Mirror Bar & Bowling, in 1969. In 1976, they sold the bowling alley, and Pat began a 20-plus year career babysitting for local families. In her spare time, she waitressed for Elaine “Sis” Herdrich at the Greenwood Cafe. In 1994, she then went to work at the Greenwood Post Office as a postal clerk for 17 years, until retiring in 2011.

     Pat had many interests but especially loved spending time with her family and friends, reading, gardening, flowers, crossword puzzles and going to the casino.

     She was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Ann’s Society, and a member of the Greenwood American Legion Auxiliary.

     She will be dearly missed by her husband, Dennis “Pete” of Greenwood; her children, Kelly (David) Booth of Owen, Chad (Jenny) of Greenwood and Jodi Cook (fiance Chuck Nevison) of Maple Grove, MN; 12 grandchildren, Hannah, Holly, Heidi, Colton, Tyler, Devan, Kacie, Cade, Maci, Kaylee, Tragen and Amanda; her siblings, Terri (Brad) Bauschek of Port Washington, Joan (Hugh) Christie of Greenwood, Ed (Sharon) Bushman of Hayward and Sue (Bill) Kurasz of Dubois, WY; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

     Pat was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Steve Bushman on Sept. 20, 2013; one sister, Marcia Duell on Feb. 24, 2020; and one nephew, Adam Christie on Aug. 6, 2006.

     A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2022, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood. Rev. Leo Johnson will officiate, and burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church Thursday, May 26, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
