ORAN BRETT OLIVER

     Oran Brett Oliver, 64, of Neillsville, WI, died Sunday, June 30, 2024, at the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI. 

     Oran Brett Oliver was born Oct. 5, 1959, the son of Oran Morris and Sarah Anne (Sonntag) Oliver. He attended school in Neillsville and then traveled around the Midwest, working for the carnival. He also worked for Kurt Marg and the cement contractors in town, Steve Brorson, Mike Struensee and Jeff DeMert. He also worked for Wallace Woodstock and most recently as a barn stall installer. Brett was also known for keeping the snow off the sidewalks downtown and at the apartment building behind the old hospital.

     He is survived by his longtime significant other, Lori Gallagher of Neillsville, WI; and two brothers, Ernest Oliver of Hobart, IN, and Bill (Debbie) Oliver of Merrillville, IN.

     Brett was preceded in death by his parents; and Ernest’s longtime partner, Pam Goethe; and his beloved cat, Puddy Cat.

     A private graveside service for Brett was held at the Neillsville City Cemetery.
