Kathleen Turner

     Kathleen A. Turner, 83, of Neillsville died Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Riverside

Assisted Living in Neillsville.

     Kathleen Alice Hagen was born July 16, 1938, at home in the Township of Weston, Clark County, the daughter of Herman and Helen (Salomonsen) Hagen Jr. She attended Greenwood Schools and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1956. Later that year, she was united in marriage to Donald Turner Sept. 1, 1956, in Neillsville.

     When Kathy moved to Neillsville, she was employed at Kearns Rexall Drug Store. She then went to work for attorney Wayne Trimberger as a legal secretary. She continued working for Wayne Trimberger as well as Frank Vazquez and Diane Trimberger for several years. Kathy then went to work at the Clark County Courthouse, working in the aging office, register in probate office and the clerk of court office before her retirement.

     Donald died July 1, 1994, at the age of 60.

     Kathy was a longtime member of the United Church of Christ in Neillsville. She served as a recording secretary and as a member of the mission and outreach committee. She was a member of the Purple Passion Patooties Red Hats Society, a monthly birthday club with her friends, and a longtime member of the beautification committee for the city of Neillsville.

     She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, shopping trips, organizing, hosting family gatherings, going out to eat and Friday night fish fries with her friends and family. Kathy also enjoyed going on bus trips and traveling with her friends. Kathy enjoyed bowling and belonged to various bowling leagues for many years, and she also enjoyed playing cards, especially Sheepshead.

     Kathy is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Steven) Miller of Neillsville; siblings Jesse (Loretta) Hagen of Mead Lake; Buck (Margie) Hagen, Louise Kuester, Calvin Hagen, Mark Hagen and a sister-in-law, Kathryn Hagen all of Neillsville; as well as many nieces and nephews. Kathy is also survived by a cousin and close friend, Janice Turner of Neillsville.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her parents; her mother- and father-in-law; a sister, Karan Peters; a brother, Quentin “Kinky” Hagen; a brother-in-law, Henry Kuester; and a sister-in-law, Patricia Hagen.

     A memorial Service for Kathy will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the United Church of Christ in Neillsville. Paster Julie Garber will officiate. Interment will be in the York Center Cemetery in Granton. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the United Church of Christ.
